Tres Leches Cake Joshua Weissman

A wonderfully moist and sweet centrepiece cake.


Preheat an oven to 180C, and grease a 9" x 13" pan.


Separate eggs into yolks and whites in separate bowls


Beat the egg yolks with an electric mixer. Slowly add in sugar, beating until light in colour.

Beat in the vanilla and milk.


In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy, and gradually add sugar. Beat until you get medium peaks.

Fold together the egg yolk and egg white mixture.


In a separate bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Once combined, add the egg mixture and fold together.

Pour mixture into prepared pan, and bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Put on cooling rack and allow to cool completely.

The pour-over


Combine various milks in a medium bowl.

Poke the cake with a fork all over, and pour over the milk mixture. Cover cake with plastic wrap, and place in fridge from 1 hour to overnight.


Decorate with whipped cream, cinnamon sprinkle, dulce de leche, and strawberries as desired.
